Bought 2 bundles for 2017 and 2018

My first purchase was for my father in law. Install was flawless. No issues other than the exhaust. All the bolts were rusted due to the location of the vehicle (salted roads). Took about a day and 2 people. Both had extensive diesel experience. Rerouting the coolent line so it didn’t get the way of a engine sensor was kind of a pain but figured it out.

Second install took half a day on the 2018. We already had a game plan and completed without the instructions. The parts arrived on time however, it was identified that the bypass cable wasn’t included in the tuner box. I opened a customer ticket and was emailed a couple hours later. Fortunately I’m on the East Coast and there was a time difference because the service rep was able to identify the missing bypass harness and ship it out the same day. I received it Monday. It was inconvenient that I couldn’t finish the job, but ultimately they made it right. My truck my unusable for the weekend. I guess it allowed to research on how to connect the bypass to the Star plug. All in all I’m happy with the product and would recommend it.

BTW, just the amount of metal and alloy you remove from your truck is like 300 lbs. Amazing how streamline it becomes.

You will fall in love on first crank. Also, make sure you have some spare coolent because you will lose some. Lost more on the second than the first, Weird.

Everything I needed was in the kit. Parts fit correctly. I ordered the cold air intake and the sotf switch. Everything was relatively easy to install. I just wish there were instructions in the boxes instead of tracking them down online. That is why I gave it 4 stars. I'm really pleased with my purchase. 17 F250 4x4 Richard Petty Edition.

2013 Silverado

The tune was very easy to install. Over all I'm very pleased with the tune.

2014 Ram 3500

I purchased the full delete kit for my Ram 3500. Like a dumb ass I gave the Diesel Dudes the wrong transmission. I installed the tuner and deleted the truck then driving it I found that the transmission would not shift. I opened a support ticket and let them know I had to go to Nebraska that Friday and they sent me the updated tune on Wednesday night. I installed the new tune on my truck and everything worked as advertised. I am very pleased with the prompt response and making it on my trip. They literally saved my ass by getting me the right tune after I screwed up and told them the wrong transmission.

As with everything, there’s always room for improvement. But I can’t let my own flaws take away from the amazing customer service I got from diesel dudes and HP tuners. Life lesson.

My biggest complaint would be there’s zero literature on location of knock sensors.

On the fence

Going to give five stars cause of the customer service. Although my dummy of a self decided to tune on Friday night on a three day weekend…. I lost communication with the ecm and had no idea what to do next. The fix was beyond simple but not knowing what to click made for an unsettling few days. My biggest complaint would be that there is no literature on the nox sensor locations. Overly recommend diesel dudes and Hp tuners. They have your back.

Confused

It’s so hard to get answers and deal with the minor issues I’m having. No owner Manuel comes with the mini max. No detailed information. They sent me an old video off of YouTube that I found prior to even purchasing. I have the mini max version 2 and there is zero info anywhere about it. There no slight clue on what settings should be. Question are answered through email only so you can never get a legit answer. Im not to happy at the moment.

Unbelievable

I haven't had a diesel since the 97 powerstroke. It was reliable. I've got a 6.7 now and it was impressive to begin with but it amazes me what yall can do with them. I had to have yall help me with the tuner because I'm not high tech at all but when I got the exhaust on and followed your instructions on the tuner I went down the road and it was like being a kid again with a brand new hotrod. Thank yall so much!

Great Service

Customer service was quick and easy. The instructions and videos provided helped to ease my concerns about whether or not this was something I wanted to tackle on my own. I felt confident that if I had any issues I’d be able to get help. Having never reprogrammed a vehicle before I was a bit apprehensive about letting the programmer do its thing but it worked just fine. I’d recommend these guys to anyone else considering a delete kit. I would suggest that you get a friend to help you with the exhaust removal since it was kind of heavy and a bit cumbersome. The whole project took about a day.

Makes your diesel sound like a true diesel! Great fit and finish. I installed the exhaust with the muffler and love the way it sounds. Fast shipping and great customer service!

All in all I love it. Install went smooth. My only problem is the exhaust is resting on the cross member and vibrates occasionally.

First 300 mile impressions

Easy installation. I added an FTE resonator along with the kit muffler. The exhaust note is nearly stock. Running in switch position stock, the throttle is more responsive and fuel mileage is up 4mpg.

Wow

So I got everything in a timely manner. Installed efi tunes with no issues, truck started and functioned as intended. Installing everything was time consuming but the instructions that are provided are easy too follow, the video links they provid are helpful as well. Unfortunately the coolant bypass hose supplied leaked. However in 3 emails and about 3 hours of time this company is sending replacement parts. So in short tunes are clean from The little while I ran the truck, and parts are the standard aftermarket stuff you get, some will work fine and sometimes you get some that are defective. But the customer service that is provided by the desiel dudes is by far the best I have ever had. I am completely satisfied with this company and would use them again in a hart beat.

2017 F250 Full Delete

Perfect. Tune installed on the first try. Immediately unplugged the EGR and got no DTC. Drove it like that for two weeks before doing the exhaust. With just the EGR off I was getting 18+ mpg. Once all the exhaust components were unplugged still no DTC. Quick shipping. Worth every penny. Peace of mind no longer have to worry about the longevity of the truck.

2016 ram 2500

Received the 5 inch turbo back exhaust instead of the 4 inch delete pipes I ordered ended up being a free upgrade wish it was stainless instead of aluminized steel All in all a good purchase everything fit well and truck runs good and about 300 pounds lighter

Once updated on wifi this unit is plug and play just be patient and it cycles as promised. Like that it doesn’t have to be plugged in you can tune and put it away.

This tuner is crazy. All the options and things you can do on it have blown me away. I’m still learning a lot about it and trying to perfect everything but very happy with it and thedieseldudes. Did think I was getting proven diesel tuning and ended up getting gdp which was alittle disappointing as from what I’ve read everyone loves proven and gdp has mixed. However their tunes seem to work good for my truck. Would recommend anyone buy from thedieseldudes

I love the ez-lynk and the tuning. I gained 5mpg. I ended up adding a muffler to the 5" to make it more horse towing friendly. The straight pipe does sound amazing though. The diesel dudes staff was great and they talked me through the whole purchasing processing.
