Why did I Wait?

Huge shoutout to John and his team at The Diesel Dudes for helping me get my 2017 F350 set up right. I honestly wish I would’ve done this years ago.

This truck is a completely different animal now. I went with the shift-on-the-fly kit and the 5” exhaust with muffler, and the difference is unreal. Setting 5 is absolutely insane — they claim a 230 HP gain and I 100% believe it. It’s honestly borderline scary how hard this thing pulls now. Since I tow heavy trailers most of the time, I usually keep it on level 2 or 3, which is perfect for daily use and towing.

The power delivery is smoother, throttle response is night-and-day better, fuel mileage improved, the truck sounds amazing, and best of all… the transmission finally shifts the way it SHOULD have from the factory. No more shift lag, weird hunting, or lazy shift points. Reprogramming the transmission made a massive difference.

I genuinely feel like I bought a brand-new truck.

Only downside? It smells like a diesel now. But honestly… it IS a diesel, so I guess that comes with the territory. Might as well embrace it.

My son and I installed everything ourselves in about 4 hours. We didn’t even remove all the emissions equipment under the hood — we simply unplugged components, changed the exhaust, and loaded the tuning and transmission programming.

If I ever buy another diesel truck, I would purchase from Diesel Dudes again in a heartbeat. Excellent product, excellent support, and a company that actually answers questions and takes care of people.

a couple of screws were missing . You need to add the 2 o rings on the block cover plate in the kit, as mine were bad so I used silicone. no other problems.Great product. Thanks

The tune was super easy (I opted for SOF mode) The kit was complete and everything fit as advertised. Don't forget to tighten the plug on the rear blocker plate, and prepare to have some cuts and scratches on the tops of your hands,,,lol" This job requires you to squeeze them between the engine and firewall "ALOT I had some questions along the way and Tyson was great at responding.. These guys are legit !

At this point I’m very happy with my Tuner and the staff. I had some strange problems come up after installation and John was extremely helpful even though at the time nothing made sense. What originally appeared to be a tuner issue ended up being sensor issues covered up by my old HS XRT Pro tuner. I worked through the problems keeping John in the loop until all issues were corrected and we knew for sure the tuner was fine and operating normally.

it's been a good experience so far except the exhaust didn't quite line up/match up. I luckily had a piece of 4" pipe left over from a previous exhaust job on another truck. I had to go to Harbor Freight and spend &139.00 on a exhaust expander but I'm sure it'll get used again.

Installed full delete kt and sensor block off 3 months ago; install was straight forward and very simple to complete by myself, ordering process was very simple and shipping was fast. there is a night and day difference with throttle response, have SOTF and leave it on 2nd setting for all around driving which is sufficient enough for what's needed and very impressed with the results of this kit.
